Refund policy

Here's a refund policy written for digital downloads. One important adjustment: under UK consumer law, you can't remove a customer's rights if a file is faulty or not as described. A policy that says "no refunds, full stop" could be unenforceable. So this version makes every sale final, which is allowed for instant downloads, while keeping the faulty-file exception the law requires. In practice that only means you fix or replace a broken file.

Refund Policy

All sales are final
Everything sold by MRJRTV, including LUTs, PowerGrades, sound effects and other digital assets, is a digital product delivered instantly after payment. Because digital files can't be returned once they've been accessed, we do not offer refunds, exchanges or cancellations once your order has been placed.

By completing your purchase, you agree that your download is made available immediately and that you lose your right to cancel the order within the usual 14-day cooling-off period, as permitted under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013.

Please check before you buy
Make sure the product is compatible with your software and workflow before purchasing. Product pages list supported formats and editing software. If you're unsure, contact us before buying and we'll gladly help.

Faulty or incorrect files
This policy doesn't affect your statutory rights. If a file is corrupted, won't open, or isn't what was described, contact us within 30 days of purchase and we'll replace it or send a working version. If we can't fix the problem, we'll offer an appropriate remedy as required by the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

Download problems
If your download link doesn't arrive or has expired, check your spam folder first, then email us with your order number and we'll resend it.

Discount codes
Discount codes can't be applied retrospectively to orders that have already been placed.

Chargebacks
If there's a problem with your order, please contact us first. We're quick to respond and happy to help. Opening a payment dispute without contacting us may result in loss of access to future downloads.

Contact us
Email info.jrtv@gmail.com with your order number, and we'll reply within 48 hours.

How to add it: in Shopify, go to Settings → Policies → Refund policy, paste the text above (from "Refund Policy" to "London, United Kingdom") and click Save. Then add it to your footer through Online Store → Navigation → Footer menu → Add menu item → Policies → Refund policy.

One more step makes the "all sales final" part legally solid: customers need to see and agree to it before paying. I'd add a short line under the Buy now button on every product page, such as "Instant digital download. All sales are final, see our refund policy." with a link to the policy. That's a small theme change I can write for you to paste in, the same way as the cart fix.

This is a sensible standard template for a UK digital shop, not legal advice. If you sell a lot to EU customers, or build up larger products like courses, it's worth a quick look from a solicitor.
